Train like a soldier

PhysicallyTrained.com gives the reader an inside look at the physical fitness training of U.S. troops in addition to a healthy eating guide, an article on exercise-related injuries, and guidelines for preparing for specialized fitness tests. By Heather Bridges Topich

PhysicallyTrained.com has two main areas: U.S. Army Physical Fitness Training and U.S. Army Fitness Handbook. There are links on the left side of the page to each chapter of the two manuals. The front page is very official and gets right to the point- simply listing these chapters and providing the purpose of each book.

The U.S. Army Physical Fitness Training manual starts off by describing how keeping in shape affects a soldier’s readiness for combat and ability to be a good leader. There are also chapters covering muscular endurance, body composition, nutrition, and exercise drills. The reader is given guidelines of what to expect during boot camp and details on the Army Physical Fitness Test.

The Fitness Handbook begins with first explaining the principals of physical fitness and then providing chapters on fitness assessments and diagnostic tests. There are chapters on exercising each part of the body as well as suggested training programs for Airborne School and Air Assault School physical tests.

PhysicallyTrained.com is easy to use and serves as a valuable fitness resource for those that plan to enter the Army or simply want a regimented exercise plan.
